At present we have three colleges; namely, the College of Engineering, the College of Electrical and Information Engineering, and the College of Management and Design. There are ten departments and two independent graduate institutes.

The College of Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering
Established in 1963, the department also offers graduate programs for
master's degree and doctoral degree.
It emphasizes the fields of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, automatic
control, mechanical system, etc.

The Department of Chemical Engineering
Established in 1970, the department also provides graduate
programs for master's degree and doctoral degree.
The research centers include fields in polymer science, LCD, catalysis,
electrochemical Engineering, fluidization, and pollution control.

The Department of Materials Engineering
Established in 1983, the department also provides graduate programs
for master's degree and doctoral degree.
It has set up research centers in the fields of corrosion, fracture science, powder metallurgy, magnetic materials, heat treatment, etc.

The Department of Bioengineering
Founded in 1986, the department now also provides graduate programs for master's degree and doctoral degree.
It has research centers and labs in the fields of biochemistry, genetic engineering, and microbiology.

The College of Electrical and Information Engineering

The Department of Electrical Engineering
Established in 1963, the department now also provides graduate programs for master's degree and doctoral degree.
There are research centers of telecommunication and network, integrated circuits, optoelectronic engineering, microwave engineering, digital system application, control system, etc.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering
Set up in 1982, the department also offers graduate programs for
master's degree and doctoral degree now.
We have research centers for the studies in various fields such
as computer architecture, communication and networking,
multimedia, system software.

The Department of Applied Mathematics
Established in 1984, the department also offers graduate programs for
master's degree.
The department aims at cultivating engineers and managers with a solid
foundation in mathematic science.

The Graduate Institute in Electro-Optical Engineering
Set up in 1998, the graduate institute now offers graduate programs for
master's degree and doctoral degree.
The institute has research centers in the fields of waveguide analysis, fiber optics, field-emission devices, optical information, ultrafast optoelectronics, etc.

The Graduate Institute in Communication Engineering
Established in 1998, the graduate institute now provides graduate programs for master's degree and doctoral degree.
The institute aims to integrate theory with practice in computer technology and to nurture excellent talents in the field of communication electron technology.
Primary research areas are wireless communication, radio frequency module, computer network, digital signal processing, microwave engineering, electromagnetic interference, etc.

The College of Management and Design

The Department of Business Management
Founded in 1963, the department also offers programs for MBA and EMBA.
The department aims at cultivating students to become managers of specialized
knowledge, great language abilities, and global perspective.

The Department of Industrial Design
Founded in 1973, the department now offers graduate programs
for master's degree and doctoral degree.
The objective of the department is to cultivate industrial design
professionals with ability of planning, analysis, creation, and
development. Many research labs were set up including human
factors, color theory, computer-aided design, and multimedia
communication design.

The Department of Information Management
Established in 1992 as a night school, the department was then transformed to
a day school in 1993. It also offers graduate programs for master's degree.
The department has research centers in the fields of decision support systems and
system simulation, integrated information system and management, database and knowledge base.
